My Birthday/ Christmas Present From Eric

Well Eric sent me a late Birthday present but an early Christmas present, he decided to send it to me because he wanted to give me my Birthday present but found out how expensive it was he decided to wait for the half way mark of my Birthday and Christmas and he wanted me to get my Christmas present before I went into the MTC.

Basically it was full of candy and those Zelda sound drops. He did however give me some karate uniform and a Kamono (however you spell it, those Japanese robe things) :) and these are just some totally awesome pictures of when I recieved my gift :)

I know, I know, everyone has been saying that I need to be a karate clothes model and go to Japan and strut my stuff

I'm just sick of looking at you

Well I decided to write a post because i'm not tired and have nothing else to do, and i'm sick of lookin at what i'm thankful for! it's nice and all, but everytime I look at my blog . . . it doesn't change, so I figured I would change the background a bit and get a new post out there! I don't know what I am going to talk about except the only thing that is on my mind :)

My Mission! I only have 2 weeks and a day. . . or so, and boy am I excited! For the first time I am actually excited to get to bed and read my scriptures :) I am praying every morning and every night for the first time in my life and I feel like I am becoming such a nice person! (and humble too!)
My sleeping habits are finally starting to turn around, I woke up at 9:30 this morning and did some work! Everyone wanted to take a picture, but they didn't so I will just put this ugly one on instead.

Anyway, this is my last normal week of real life, i'm a wee bit sad but mostly EXCITED!!! I still feel a little unprepared, but everyone says that the MTC will crush me and kick my butt anyway, so I figure, why should I be any different? It's okay to be a little unprepared :)

Now insted of seeing things I am thankful for, I get to see this picture of me for the next few days, weeks, months or years :) Hee Hee

So there once was this horse who loved oats, he ate oats all the time and he wouldn't eat anything else becasue he loved the oats so much! well one day he was sold into bondage and this new farmer only fed him hay, at first he was so discouraged and bewildered, but that was all he had to eat, so he finally started eating it and liking it! He loved hay so much, he thought, "how could I ever eat those oats?" Just as he got used to liking hay, the old farmer bought him back. The old farmer fed him oats and he forgot how much he loved them! so he ate them from that day forward. . . The End (Yes, I know that too many oats cause a horses hoofs to split and get mis-shaped)

I relate this made up fantasy story to me, I am the horse and I am here eating oats with my family and friends in Spanish Fork! however when I get out on a mission I will be eating hay, then I come home and eat oats again :) That is how my life goes, and when I wrote this story I thought of that drink "Mate" (Mah-tay) or however you spell it. The drink with the wierd straws and you drink them out of strange cups, well anyway, that is pretty much like eating hay, how literal :)

If you are still reading this post, obviously you have found out that I have nothing better to do and you are loosing IQ points. Tuning out, this is Alan Bushman, thanks for letting me waste your time :)

Halloween for Challenged

Well it's been forever since I have done a post, partially because I have been sick, but you all know that that is a lame excuse for me :) Nothing ever really happens to a poor, unemployed, illiterate child. So for Halloween I dressed up as a Sexy Mexy! I tried to find my robin hood shirt but it was nowhere to be found. This costume showed me what I am going to grow up to be if I don't do something with my life :)

I did some Trick or Treating but I mainly just serenaded my wonderful neighbors and wrote songs about how wonderful they were. I could only play Choose the Right and Ole McDonald, so most of my songs went to that tune with lyrics that went something like, "Nada cooks good food, so I eat it and I don't starve, yum, yum, yum, it warms me to the soul! Nada likes it when sexy mexy's sing for her. When it is on Halloween night! Trick or Treat! Trick or Treat! The sugar goodness will fill you up! Trick or Treat! Trick or Treat! and I will not burn your house down for some candy." (Tune choice - Choose the Right) I am obviously really good, so of course they gave me some candy :) other than that I didn't have a very eventful night. The End

Lasiks

Well on Monday I got Lasik surgery, and I can see! Today is the first day I can use the computer, so I decided to Blog about it :) Well first they scanned my cornea with this cool machine and made sure that it was thick enough, and they said that my cornea(s) were so perfect that if my eyes were food, they would be a fillet mignon, so we decided to proceed. They first had me lay down on this table and they put these suction cup things on my eyes it felt like my eyes were going to be sucked out of my skull! then they told me to look at this blinking light, and I couldn't even see, I thought I was going to pass out. I couldn't tell what was going on really, but they said thats where they cut my cornea. Then I had to get up and walk to the next room and I couldn't see a thing! so my mom escorted me to the next room. In there they put these metal things on my eyelids to keep them propped open, and they hurt like a rug burn on your butt when you have to sit through sacrament meeting. Anyway, they put these drops in my eyes so I didn't try to blink, cause that would be all sorts of bad. Then they told me to look at this blinking light thing, and I couldn't even see a blinking light. . . .so I just looked straight ahead and tried not to move. Well they said everything went great and gave me a million drops to put in my eyes everyday. But when I got home, I found this in my eye!
A big red, bloody thing! The next day I went to the doctor and he said that when they were trying suck my eye balls out of my skull, they accidentally popped a blood vessle, so it's like a bruise on my eye, and should go away in a few days. It sure scared me though!

I get to sleep with these things on my eyes every night for a week, so I don't accidentally itch my eyes in my sleep. Dont' I look attractive?
And my eyes are pretty sensitive to light and such, so I watch movies and do everything with sunglasses on :)

Theme Park Mania

Well I went on a vacation to several theme parks and it was pretty rootin tootin fun! However, I forgot my camera :( so I took a few pictures with my phone and those will have to do while I await my dad giving me the rest of the pictures. Anyway the first day I went to Disneyland and it was swell, my favorite ride is Space Mountain, and all I bought while I was there were some princesses and a few little knick knacks. All the presents however ended up being quite girly and the cashier gave me a strange look. My step-brother Zac texted Cha-Cha and they said that it was gay week at Disneyland so I guess I fit in fine. (with the presents! not with my moral behavior or fasion sense) It was kinda cool though cause everything was decked out in Halloweeny stuff so the Haunted Mansion was all Nightmare before Christmas.

The next day we went to California Adventure and it was somewhat Halloweeny, but not much and it was a swell day. . . my favorite ride was California Screamin, if you can see in the picture it is the California sign out front, but I took that picture with my phone, so its not that terrible, and they exchanged the A's in California with those really gross acorn candy things.
The third day we went to Universal Studios, and it was really cool, they had everything decked out and walking from ride to ride they had people dressed up and scaring people, it was pretty awesome! I think this was my favorite park out of the few we went to, I really like the new Simpsons ride, while you were in line they would play Simpson episode clips and stuff, it was funny, and the ride was like Soarin California except cooler, Side Show Bob is trying to kill you in Itchy and Scratchy Land and he rips apart the park while you're on the ride so you fall off the roller coaster and it's really intense!

Then the last day we went to SeaWorld and it was pretty fun, Shampoo (Shamu) was way awesome, and so were the dolphins! but I don't know what else to say about this park. . . . so it was good.

My Family

There is so much to say about everyone! If you feel as though I didn't do you justice then post a comment and fill in the parts I have missed, it's harder then it looks. . . . Besides I have about 400 Family members. . . .so this might be quite the post, but a good one at that!

Father - My dad is probably the hardest worker I have ever met, and he is such a handyman. He can fix anything in the world! If you ever have a problem with cars or your house dad is always so willing to come help and spend some time with you while he fixes your problem. Dad is also really smart, which can go hand in hand with handyman, but he can figure anything out, I also love dad's corney jokes, even though everyone makes fun of them, they still make me laugh. He loves his family very much, he goes to every family dinner that grandma or gary or craig has and loves to spend time with his mom and brothers and sisters. Dad is also a big traveler, I can't even name all the places he has been to, let alone know where they are! It also makes me laugh that he pulls out some sort of language that is a mix between dutch, spanish, hebrew and arabic and still manages to get around :)

Jolyn - Well I don't really know Jolyn all that well, but from what I do know, she likes to spend time with us kids and enjoys her family too, she is very nice and supportive of anything that is going on in our family, she is also very good at communication and being precise about things. I know that she loves my dad and makes him happy, and that's all that really matters :)

Mommy - Mom is probably my favoritest person ever :) She is the funniest party animal there is out there, she doesn't care what anybody thinks as long as she is having fun! However at the same time she is very sensitive, loving and kind. If I have a rough day she will always give me hugs and kisses and treat me like a baby. . . well, more than she usually does ;) She is also always willing to help someone out anyone, without asking anything in return, and she also likes to take us on trips, just for the sake of being with the family, it doesn't matter where we go as long as she is with her kids. Loving and being with us kids is her favorite thing in the world, whenever we have Christmas elsewhere she claims she wants to go on a trip with John to go have some fun, but she spilt a secret to me today that she can't stand being home if her kids aren't here. I hate to see what will happen when I leave on my mission, everyone else will have to pick up for my annoying-ness. But really, mom is just the kindest woman you will ever meet and I love her very much :)

John Wayne - Lately I have gotten to know John better because all my friends are moved away and on missions, and he is such a genuinely nice guy, he says that I annoy him (which is very true) but I know that he loves me and will miss me when i'm gone. John is also very talented, he can play a variety of musical instuments and. . . . . anything else that can make a noise. He is also very good to talk to, he is reasonable and level headed and doesn't give me one sided arguments. But the best of all is that he loves my mom very much and makes her happy!

Amy Poo Poo - Is the most cuddly person in the world, which I really like! Because I'm a cuddle bug too :) Amy loves kids, and loves to share and give things to people, she is always thinking of others and wants everyone to be happy. Amy is good at both working and going to school at the same time, for as long as I can remember Amy has always been a good worker and loves to learn more and new crazy things.

Brain - I really look up to Brian, he is such a great example to me. He is much like dad in that, he is a handyman up the wazoo! Brian can fix anything, and he is just so much fun to be around :) He is also very creative and constructive, once brian sets his mind to something, he goes till he finishes it, or perfects it (like a trip to California) Brian is also very considerate of others and also enjoys having peace and harmony in the family.

Brihahnah - Briahna is such a great mom, she is good at keeping Greyson safe but also allowing him to have fun! and such a great sister in law, I love when she tells stories because they just captivate your attention and are usually hillarious! Briahna is also a good critic, I trust her opinion, and when I say critic, I usually mean with food and movies :)

Lucy - Oh boy, Cindy is the cutest little camper :) Cindy is probably the nicest person you will ever meet! She is just so genuinely nice and really does love everyone so much! She has always been the peace maker in our family from the time she was little. (because I knew her so well when she was little) Cindy is my favorite person to talk to when I am having a hard time, she just makes me always feel like such a better person! :) I hope that when I get married someday that my wife will have many of the qualities that Cindy has :)

Jimmy - Jim is such a cool guy! He taught me how to play the drums and the guitar! but my favorite quality is that he loves Cindy to death, he really lets it show how much he loves Cindy and he spoils her so much, just like he should! I enjoy that I can relate to Jim so well with various trials and things in my life, it makes him an enjoyable guy to talk to and be around :)

Davey Boy - My favorite thing about David is that he really likes things to be fair, david is just a level headed guy who likes to have fun! :) Everyone thinks that dave is all full of himself and bossy but I know the true david, and he is just a cute little sensitive teddy bear. He couldn't hurt a fly :) David is also a great example to me, he has great ambition and is also creative and enjoys doing big projects :)

Cruella Rachelle - Rachel is so fun to be with because she is the life of the party :) Rachel is so constructive and can think of anything to do with the least means necessary. Rachel is also good to talk to, we have been friends forever and have always just done everything together. My favorite is when she gets in her kinda hyper moods and just starts talking and talking and says the most hillarious things and doesn't even crack a smile! it's so funny! and she never even notices!

Enrique - Eric, Eric, Eric. . . I have so many things to say about this poor lad, Eric is probably the best-est friend I have ever had, he is so funny! He is the most innocent person I have ever met (on the outside anyway ;) ) I love his little giggle with his "Oh My. . ." comments and his "I don't know. . . I don't know. . . .ya know what I mean?" But Eric has always been there for me, is was the one constant in my life, he helped me through literally everything! and the few months before he left on his mission he and I grew closer together than ever, I love Eric so much and I am so proud of him right now for going out and serving the midgets of Japan. And I can't wait to see him again! I miss him so much!

Well I know I didn't get to say everything about all of you, but I had much to write and many to write about, so post what you think I left out, I love you all very very much and I couldn't have asked for a better or cooler family in the whole world! :) You guys are great :)

Playing Ketchup

Oh boy, I have much to fill my cyber friends in on, most of you already know, but I guess some just want it on paper/monitor, so here ya go! :)

Cruise!

Well we disembarked on September 6th, and it was a swell day, the airport was boring though, so I will skip that part and go ahead to stuff that is worth reading about. . .kinda. We didn't get to go to Cabo San Lucas due to Hurrican Ivan or Ivana or something like that, however we did get to go to Ensenada which was a swell ole town. It was rough around the edges but had a heart full of Viagra, everywhere you went you saw signs saying "Cheap Viagra" it was unnerving, however I did end up buying a rock/marble chess board and some little knick knacks for the children. My chess board took an uneventful turn when I set it all up on the table next to the couch, when I accidentally kicked it and broke 4 of my beloved chess pieces. . . I was heart broken. But I told you I would write about things worth while, so I will carry on. While in Ensenada we took a kayaking tour to "The Blow Hole" it was pretty cool, the ocean waves would crash against the rocks and shoot water 100 ft. into the air, and here we are kayaking on the ocean that is coincidencadnetally heading straight for "The Blow Hole". I luckily was the odd man out on these 2 person kayaks and I got paired with a stripper, he wanted to get closer to "The Blow Hole" but I thought I was going to barf due to seasicknes, so we turned around and headed back. That was about all we did in Ensenada.

While on the ship I met a guy named Mike, he seemed like a pretty nice guy but tried to charge me for Whale Watching. (he weighed about 250-300 lbs) I talked to him for awhile and found out that he used to be in a motorcycle gang called "Hell's Angels", he said he quit the gang due to being shot 7 times, and was now seeking religion. (so don't ask me why he was on a cruise to Mexico) So I started talking to him about religion and telling him about our church. He said it rang a bell and that he remembers some guys in suits talking to him about a guy with the last name of "Smith" and that he wrote some book. So I was telling him about the Book of Mormon and he was quite interested so I challenged him that when he got back from his cruise to read the Book of Mormon and look up the LDS Missionaries, it was pretty cool :)

Temple!

I got to go through the temple for the first time and recieve my endowments, it was pretty much the coolest thing ever. When I went, the bishop said to not try and remember everything but to just remember the feeling that you had when you were there. I want you to know that I felt the spirit stronger inside of me stronger than I have ever felt it before, I know with all my heart that this is the true church. I can't wait till I can go to Argentina and share the true gospel with everyone down there. I love the Lord, and I love this church! :)
